Who wants to talk about their favorite video game OSTs? Or just post a link to your favorite songs and leave it at that; idc!

Since I know we have nerds of many inclinations here, I will try and include a variety of genres in my 5 picks to start, which are in no particular order, but pretty much all influenced by nostalgia!

    1. Phantasy Star Online - Fuck you Sega.

    2. Silent Hill 2 - I chose a pleasant melody (if my youtube skills havent failed me) but if you're in the mood for to get spooked out, keep listening.

    3. Unreal Tournament - Memories of being a wee bab gibbing people in outer space while playing online on dialup.

    4. Castlevania Symphony of the night - Classic

    5. Mighty Switch Force - Something newer and its catchy as shit. The guy responsible also does Shantae and Shovel Night - hes veri gud veri gud.

Pretty certain there already was a thread about it, but whatever! I'll try and just stick with 7 of some of my favorites.

Deus Ex-Classic cyberpunk with some of the most memorable song in gaming.

Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory- The high point of the franchise also has the best music that is constantly interchanging depending on how alert the guards are. El Cargo is a great example of this.

Vampire:The Masquerade:Bloodlines- Atmospheric music mixed with unironic edgy goth music that works really well and adds into the thick atmosphere the game already has about hidden vampire societies.

System Shock 2- Honestly I don't think most of the music works well with the game itself since it's mostly quiet survival horror with occasional frantic attacks from hybrids and robots and having something like Hydro 1 blaring in your ears while nothing is happening breaks the horror a little but it's still really good.

Yakuza 0- Probably half of the reason that I'm excited for the game being localized. Loads of really cool fight music that'll dynamically change with a plethora of funky 80's dance music to fit the setting.

Hitman: Contracts- The best thing about the darker tonal change in Contracts would probably be the soundtrack Jesper Kyd got to make it. Ambient beats and light electronics really makes it something special.

"Hitman 3: Contracts", full HQ original soundtrack (OST)

Metal Gear Rising: Revengence- Do I really have to say anything?

Metal Gear Rising Revengeance Vocal Tracks [Full Album] [HD]

Also a few extra single songs I thought were really good:

    NuDoom: BFG Divison
Yakuza 5: Each of their Dreams
Half Life 2 EP2: Last Legs

Has some great songs for sure, but the regular battle music... ughhhhhh. Its still ingrained in my brain from years ago and not in a good way.

Can people start putting the YouTube Vids behind spoiler tags? The page is really starting to lag.

GBA music is a lot better when it isn't done on the GBA's horrible sound hardware.
