I'm from Melbourne, but I've been living in Perth since I was 5-6.
Oh I see. I've never made the trip. I've only been as far as Adelaide and the ranges a little north of there. What's Perth like?
Well, Perth has a fuck-tonne of bad drivers, statistically speaking. There's also barely anything in terms of specialist items - anything cool you can find in Melbourne doesn't exist over here. Oh, and people love to waste water on their gardens. A lot.
Well, at least one of those things is good. I do love seeing some gardens that've had lots of water wasted on them. Melbourne controls it's garden space so very carefully as if they were bonsai that required clever tying.
A nice garden is always a good sight, but most "gardens" here are just grass. Besides, Perth is predicted to be a ghost town within the century if it keeps wasting water, so I can understand Melbourne's strictness.
